Quack+Dirk Fashion Show in Dublin's Krystle Nightclub

I was talking about Quack+Dirk shop a few weeks ago in Quirky Dublin Fashion and “Swop” With Me!  Back then I was already excited about the shop’s originality and involvement into Dublin’s fashion events.

So I was absolutely thrilled to hear that Deirdre Cantwell, the owner of the shop, is organizing a Fashion Show on the 25th of September!

The Fashion Show will take place in Krystle Nightclub starting at 8 pm with the doors open at 7pm. The admission is free and all you have to do is e-mail Deirdre on for an invitation and hope they still have some left.

The Fashion Show will be featuring Quack+Dirk clothes but there will be pieces by Karolina Schlagner (see Fashion Breakthrough) and other emerging Irish Designers.

Although the event received publicity with Lucianne White from Dublin’s Q102 as a presenter, David Marshall as a hair stylist and The Make Up Crew, Deirdre’s main purpose is to give her customers an extra bit of the Quack+Dirk Experience.

And I have to say, it is already excellent!  Let me tell you about it in a few words.

Encouraged by what I have seen so far I visited Quack+Dirk yesterday and it was the most pleasant experience! Hidden in a small alley in Fairview the shop is a real treasure box. It is small but beautifully designed with carefully selected vintage and handmade pieces, unique accessories, and quirky decor.

But what appealed to me the most is the small workshop Deirdre had in the back of her shop where she was making her clothes for the boutique.

And all this topped up with Deirdre’s lovely personality and some style advice.

I left with a carefully wrapped pink dress you can see in My Quack+Dirk Experience post.  I bought it for 55 euros which is a bargain price indeed.

Very pleased with myself :)
